I take that back....I think !

Well there will be a " Mini " release this year.  From BOR.

Spring " Mini" Release
Here you go from the BOR, we will take what we can get especially in a low water year. The flow will be increased starting the late evening of June 5, with the release increasing by 200 cfs every two hours until reaching a peak of 2,000 cfs mid-day Wednesday, June 6. The release will then be held for two hours, and then begin ramping down at the same rate, returning to the base release in the early morning hours of June 7.

No Spring Release this Year

Low snowpack this year in the Four Corners dictates there will be now peak release for the Juan this year.  It going to be a tough year for water but the dry weather has releases right now at 650CFS.

Get out there and go fishing, the Juan is fishing well.

Aztec Angler Blog Update with Client Photos

Happy New Year everyone it's 2017.  Paul and I have been slacking on the blog for like........4 years now !  So we are going to try and do a better job providing some insight, fishing reports and general entertainment.

Had some great clients on the river this weekend, Terry Arrington, now from Pagosa, formerly from Tejas and his brother in law.  They had a great time with the Bubster who kept them entertained with trout and his general good Bubba BS.

They caught some nice fish and wanted to share with the folks who hit our website and our blog.  Enjoy and we'll post again soon !!

Merc is at it again

Mike just got back from fishing the Kenai and he had a great trip with 3 other fishing buddy's. They fished mainly the mainstem of the Kenai and got into the Dolly's and rainbows with a few Salmon mixed. Lots of Dolly's in the 18-25" range were landed and the largest Rainbow was 8lb toad, followed closely by Al's 26 incher. Enjoy!

Nice Dolly

The Snakemen of the San Juan

John and Nick spent 3 days on the river with Chip. Lots of fish were caught and a great time was had by all. Chip called me and said it was one of the funnest trips he has ever guided on, thanks John and Nick! I'll let the pictures tell the story.
